About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

  • Provide high quality confidential administrative support to the Dermatology Directorate team including the Director and Nursing Lead.
  • Perform typing in an acute health care environment.
  • Co-ordination of clinics with multiple VMO's and nursing staff
  • Management of departmental phone calls and generic emails
  • Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures are not defined.
  • Work autonomously, utilising discretion in the absence of decision makers in resolution of conflict, meet deadlines, establish work priorities, organise meetings and appointments.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas for meetings, book conference rooms, facilities and equipment and take minutes during meetings.
  • Establish, review and maintain an effective office record system in conjunction with other administrative staff within the unit/department of confidential documents, papers, internal correspondence, medical reports and manage computerised data.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes and work practices.
