About the role
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the overall functioning of the unit by demonstrating clinical leadership, guiding nursing staff in complex situations, and contributing to an environment focused on safe, contemporary, consumer-centred care. You will also support and assist the Nurse Unit Manager in delivering effective clinical practice, fostering education, and participating in portfolio and quality improvement activities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of consumer/patient centred care.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and problem-solving relevant to the care of consumer/patient within Ward 6B (Surgery).
- Practise collaboratively with the interprofessional healthcare team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
- Respond appropriately to and provide support and direction to manage sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/patient using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.
