Your new role:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will deliver advanced, evidence-based clinical services while contributing to leadership, service improvement and workforce development within the Community Care Unit.

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessment, intervention and evaluation within a collaborative interprofessional team, applying independent clinical judgement in complex cases.
  • Act as a clinical reference point for the occupational therapy team, providing high-level advice and contributing to evidence-based practice, policy and protocol development.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement, service development and research initiatives, including monitoring outcomes and key performance indicators.
  • Provide supervision, education and support to HP3 clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants, contributing to workforce capability and clinical excellence.

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about recovery-oriented mental health care and thrives in a complex clinical environment.

  • Demonstrated high-level clinical expertise in delivering occupational therapy services within a community or mental health setting, including complex case management and discharge planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and engage consumers and carers in person-centred care.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload demands, exercise sound clinical judgement with a high degree of independence, and maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Experience in supervision, mentoring and contributing to service improvement initiatives, with a commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
