About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS): provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas with services located in each area.
Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016 and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition there is an Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.

About the role:
- Provide discipline specific and generalist clinical services utilising a range of modalities relevant to adult mental health services as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to the delivery of clinical mental health services in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
- This position may provide supervision to students or less experienced practitioners as required.
- Provision of a sound level of clinical services (which includes crisis intervention treatment, provision of psychotherapy, case management, consultation, health promotion, early identification/intervention, liaison and education) in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of adult mental health clinical services within CQMHS.
- Provide input in the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the adult mental health clinical services.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.
- Post-graduate qualifications in mental health or child and youth would be highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
