Principal Appointments Officer
Cabinet Appointments and Parliamentary Services; Office of the Director General; Brisbane City
As Principal Appointments Officer, you will lead the end-to-end process for all significant appointments for statutory bodies, boards and committees under the Attorney-General’s portfolio including managing Premier, Cabinet and Governor in Council approvals as required.
You will also support the Executive Council process for the broader department.

Your key responsibilities
• Deliver high quality and timely outcomes relating to significant appointments, including preparation of Cabinet Submissions and Ministerial, Director-General and departmental correspondence and briefing notes related to those processes.
• Support (as required) the judicial appointment process and ensure timely outcomes working closely with the Minister's Office.
• Maintain a comprehensive forward plan, to ensure appointments are progressed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Facilitate the conduct of remuneration assessments for statutory officers as required.
• Support recruitment processes for appointments, including working with external agencies where required.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with staff in the Minister's office, Director-General's Office, departmental officers and external agencies in relation to the timely provision of services.
• Work alongside the Manager, Executive Council and Appointments to build capability across the team and department and in the effective management and continuous improvement of the department's significant appointment and Executive Council processes.
