We are seeking an experienced and dedicated profession, to undertake project planning, procurement, contract administration, project management, contractor liaison and other support necessary to implement the QPWS capital works and maintenance programs for infrastructure on parks and forests.

As the AO6 Senior Project Officer you will:
• Lead and participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, deliver and review projects within the regional Capital Works program.
• Actively manage projects including the planning, delivery and reporting of work schedules, milestones, budget and expenditure.
• Research and analyse information, and prepare and or coordinate, review and progress briefing notes, project plans, correspondence, reports, briefings and submissions regarding the development, progress and delivery of the project.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders as required, including DES, state and local governments, Traditional Owners and their representative bodies, the tourism industry and special interest groups to achieve good outcomes
• Ensure project compliance with legislation, government approvals, specification, and DES policies and procedures, including environmental protection, Work Health and Safety and relevant licences.
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.
