This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced administrator to take on a position in one of Australia’s largest dispute resolution programs. As a Peer Coach you will provide coaching, training and constructive feedback to a team of conference organisers. You will be responsible for a conferencing and arbitration file load with limited supervision.

Key Details:
- There are multiple positions and are fulltime, permanent.
- The position is located at Brisbane CBD however, if able to be accommodated by a regional office, at that regional office.

- There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.
- This is Regulated employment which includes providing services to people under 18 years of age. Confirmation of employment is conditional upon the preferred applicant being issued with a valid Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card) which will be linked to Legal Aid Queensland prior to commencing in the role. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the following:
- Provide feedback, coaching & support to Conference Organisers to develop the skills & knowledge needed to ensure clients receive consistent information & access to services.
- Monitor performance, assess training needs, & provide targeted development recommendations to the Team Leaders.
- Provide Conference Organisers with on the job coaching to assist them to accurately screen matters, appropriately engage with stakeholders & efficiently manage a conference file load.
- Maintain records of the feedback provided & contribute information to performance & development plans for Conference Organisers.
- Perform the daily state-wide allocation of dispute resolution files.
- Respond to stakeholder enquiries & provide information & training in relation to Conferencing files & processes.
- Manage a conference & arbitration file load including both parenting & property files.
- Perform all necessary administrative functions to support the family dispute resolution conference process.
- Assess & provide clients with information & referrals for legal and social issues.
- Identify & assess safety issues experienced by clients & develop & implement measures to address identified risks in the conference & arbitration process.
- Analyse & assess matters against policies & procedures to confirm suitability for conferencing & arbitration.
- Contribute to the maintaining & updating of team manuals, precedents & case management system processes.
- Maintain data for statistical & other reporting.
How You Will be Assessed:
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following capabilities:
- administrative experience and demonstrate a keen attention to detail and can assess training needs and contribute to the professional development of others including providing clear guidance, constructive feedback and coaching.
- knowledge of legal practices, procedures and terminology, particularly in relation to lawyer assisted family dispute resolution and the principles of trauma informed practice.
- communicate in a clear, succinct and accurate manner including preparing written reports and submissions and can apply organisational policies and guidelines and explain your decisions. You engage effectively with stakeholders and clients with complex needs.
