As an Assistant Electorate Officer based in Biloela, every day will be different. You'll help locals - including farmers, small businesses, community groups and families - navigate government systems, access support, and achieve practical results when it matters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support, assist and engage with constituents and community groups.
- Develop, maintain and use networks with community referral agencies, government departments and ministerial offices.
- Prepare and proofread correspondence on behalf of constituents and to ministers.
- Provide confidential secretarial, executive and administrative support to Mr Bryson Head MP.
- Assist with media and communications alongside other team members.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on various issues.
- Prepare reports, briefs and correspondence related to electorate business.
- Canvass constituents to understand local priorities.
- Stay informed on emerging community trends, issues and concerns.
Assistance to the Electorate Officer includes:
- Managing the primary email inbox and correspondence.
- Reporting security incidents, risks or threats in the electorate office.
- Arranging events, appointments and diary commitments for the Member.
- Following financial obligations as set by legislation and Parliamentary Service policy.
- Checking and reporting technical issues with office or security equipment, and assisting with annual stocktake.
About You:
- Confidently liaise with constituents, groups and organisations via face‑to‑face, phone, mail and online channels.
- Draft and publish newsletters and community updates.
- Use digital tools, including social media.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Use a range of PC software efficiently.
- Show initiative and complete tasks on time.
