About us: The Mareeba Mental Health Service operates a multidisciplinary team that aims to provide comprehensive evidence-based approach to assist in addressing mental health issues. Mareeba Hospital services a local population of approximately 10,500 people, and provides a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. The facility has an overnight capacity of 52 beds, including 12 maternity beds, as well as supporting clinical and diagnostic services such as allied health, medical imaging, pharmacy, and pathology. The Mareeba region features local attractions such as mountain bike riding, various wineries, and several coffee plantations, and is a short drive away from other scenic towns in the Atherton Tablelands region.
About you:
In your new role you will……
- Provide high level clinical and professional leadership, and work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the provision of mental health services.
- Identify and implement practice-based research and participate in staff education and development activities.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement as required by the Team Leader.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
- Prepare reports and submissions as necessary and ensure that adequate and appropriate case records and statistics are kept.
- Provide a collaborative case management service, intake and referral role and acute care service to adults with identified mental health problems
- Participate in clinical assessments, counselling and therapy in accordance with recognised principles of discipline specific practice and in conjunction with other members of the team.
