About the role

This role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dietetic Assistant to step into a leadership position supporting high‑quality nutritional care across Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals. As the Menu System Supervisor, you will oversee a team of Dietetic Assistants and act as the key superuser for our computerised menu system, ensuring accurate meal selection, safe dietary management, and seamless coordination with dietitians, nursing, medical and food services staff. You'll combine hands‑on patient support with system administration, staff training, and continuous quality improvement to enhance the delivery of safe, culturally responsive and patient‑centred nutrition services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Liaise with patients, dietitians, nursing staff, medical staff and allied health staff regarding dietary requirements, selection, and delivery and monitoring of meals and supplements.
  • Provide menu support via phone for patients and participate in a call centre environment, taking care to provide prompt and superior customer service.
  • Utilise computerised menu systems to gather patient menu selections, generate production information, print meal tickets and run reports
  • Provide high level administration of computerised menu systems including: managing meal food lists in CBORD, updating product specifications, adjusting menu templates, end user testing, troubleshooting, development of local guidelines and procedures and staff training.
