As an AO6 Patient Safety Officer, you will exercise high-level initiative to manage risks and implement responsive solutions. You will work within the Quality and Safety Division, ensuring our governance frameworks are robust and effective. This role requires a professional who can build great partnerships across the organization. You will be supported by a culture that values empowered people and provides the autonomy to achieve quality outcomes both independently and as part of a connected team.

About the role:

  • Organise and influence diverse groups to achieve collaborative solutions and set safety objectives.
  • Prepare and review high-level correspondence, briefing notes, and accurate safety reports.
  • Build and maintain effective consultative relationships with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret risks and issues to implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Apply policy, legislation, and standards to ensure quality outcomes across the health service.

About you:

  • You have high-level organisational skills and the ability to prioritize demands in a dynamic environment.
  • You are a skilled negotiator with a proven track record of building professional relationships.
  • You possess strong conceptual and analytical skills to develop innovative, flexible solutions.
  • You have a knowledge of health-related policy and the ability to rapidly acquire technical skills.
  • You are a clear and concise writer with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $149,868 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $122,784 - $131,352 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
