Your new role:

As an Enrolled Nurse in Ward 6A Medical, you will support the delivery of safe, compassionate and evidence-based patient care while working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the wider healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes by:

  • Providing person-centred nursing care to patients in a 32-bed acute general medical ward
  • Supporting Registered Nurses in the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Monitoring patient progress and accurately documenting care within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Maintaining high standards of infection control, safety and quality improvement practices
  • Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting less experienced staff and Assistants in Nursing
  • Participating in continuous learning, education and evidence-based practice initiatives

About you:

You are a compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced medical environment and delivering high-quality patient care with:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe, patient-centred nursing care within scope of practice
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with multidisciplinary teams
  • A commitment to quality improvement, safety standards and evidence-based practice
  • Ability to prioritise workload, adapt to changing clinical environments and seek guidance when required
  • A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
