About us:

The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.

Mossman Hospital, serves a vibrant community of approximately 13,000 residents, covering Mossman, Port Douglas, the Daintree and surrounds. Port Douglas also attracts over 10,000 visitors per day in peak season.

Mossman Hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services, including outpatient maternity and inpatient medical care. The facility also features a 24-hour emergency department (ED), 13 bed inpatient ward, medical imaging departments, dialysis unit, 8 bed residential aged care, and a range of community and outpatient services, ensuring accessible and high-quality care for the community.

The facility is staffed with Nursing and Medical professionals 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

About your role:

Your main tasks may include (but are not limited to):

  • Performing vitals, ECGs, urinalysis and other testing.
  • Recognising and responding to deteriorating patients.
  • Direct patient care, patient assessments
  • Complex medications
  • Assistance with minor procedures and sedation
