Your Contribution
You will work closely with key internal partners including Office of the Chief Financial Officers, Procurement Services and Regional Offices to embed the initiatives within a strategic, practice, regulatory and commissioning framework.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Developing and refining contract resources and supporting policies and procedures.
• Leading budget reporting across Investment and Commissioning program areas.
• Leading the establishment of administrative processes, tools and resources to facilitate effective implementation.
• Providing sector guidance and support to promote best practices.
• Driving continuous improvement and applying innovative approaches to address complex challenges in delivery of initiatives.

Your responsibilities
As a Manager you will:
• Prepare high level strategic analysis and advice to assist the Director and Senior Executive Director to advise the Minister, Director-General and senior management.
• Develop strategic program frameworks, Cabinet Budget Review Committee submissions and evaluation models to enable government to deliver its agenda.
• Research and advise on contemporary commissioning and program frameworks, based on evidence and consistent with Financial Accountability Act 2009 and the Community Services Act 2007.
• Develop and maintain productive partnerships with a range of stakeholders across government and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to ensure the successful design and delivery of programs, and represent the unit on committees and working groups.
• Manage development and implementation, consistent with government commitments and directions set by the Minister and Director-General, meeting all deadlines and performance requirements, within budget while building the capacity of team members.
• Lead the analysis of program performance and the refinement of program frameworks in light of this analysis, through negotiation with stakeholders in government and the sector.
Your mandatory requirements
• Experience in managing outsource service delivery budget tracking via SAS analysis and P2i and contract evaluation renewal processes highly desirable.
