Senior Project Officer ( High Risks Team)

The AO6 Senior Project Officer leads coordination of the Capricornia High Risk Team. Overseeing the triaging of referrals, convening risk discussions, and implementing integrated, culturally safe, trauma informed safety plans for victim survivors. This role is pivotal in connecting key agencies to transform identified risks into actionable safety strategies monitor progress and escalate breaches. A key responsibility is facilitating lawful, intelligence led information sharing to disrupt recidivist harm and ensure immediate protections for victim survivors.

Your key accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

• Develop appropriate information sharing strategies to ensure risk assessments are comprehensive, inform safety planning and risk management as well as enabling swift and flexible action across agencies in response to need.
• Co-design processes with government and community stakeholders and draw upon best practice and the growing body of evidence around the value of integrated responses to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
• Supervise and manage a small multi-disciplinary team responsive to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
• Work closely with the applicable District Domestic and Family Violence (High Risk Team).
• Provide a high level of service, technical expertise and advice for policing of domestic and family violence issues.
• Identify, manage and implement business improvement processes to enhance the organisational response to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
• Liaise, consult and negotiate with members of the Queensland Police Service, the legal profession, government agencies towards the establishment of effective working relationships and achievement of desired outcomes to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
• Identify environmental factors affecting the work area and actively contribute to the development and provision of legal research, argument, submission, opinion and advice.
