How you'll contribute:
As Deputy Director-General, Policy you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-level policy advice and driving Queensland's policy agenda. In this influential leadership position, you will:
- Provide timely, strategic, and expert advice to the Associate Director-General, Director-General, and Premier on Cabinet and committee matters, as well as on key policy and legislative issues impacting the government at state and national levels.
- Build and strengthen relationships across government, ministerial offices, industry, and community stakeholders to advance policy development and coordination activities.
- Identify and address high-risk public policy issues, ensuring robust risk mitigation strategies and innovative, evidence-based solutions.
- Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of good governance, collaboration, and continuous improvement to deliver on strategic objectives and achieve best practice in policy development
What you'll bring to the role:
Extensive leadership experience in service delivery, stakeholder engagement and strategy implementation across the public, private or non-profit sectors. With a proven ability to foster collaboration and deliver innovative public policy, you will be committed to good governance, professional ethics, and continuous improvement.
