Your role within Housing and Homelessness Services will support the department to deliver a quality service to customers across Queensland to enable them to access housing products and services that meet their needs. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.
Frontline Services, Housing and Homelessness Services provides a range of services, products and referrals to offer housing solutions for diverse customer groups.
As Project Officer you will plan, supervise and monitor the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of operational processes in the Housing Register Management Team to ensure high quality service delivery to customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and supervise staff whilst maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.
  • Ensure the team is well organised and exhibits a commitment to continuous improvement and development, identifying operational inefficiencies and devising innovative responses.
  • Implement effective human resource practices in accordance with public sector requirements.
  • Liaise and develop links with relevant stakeholders to respond to community needs in line with the department's policies and programs identifying gaps or improvements in service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of rosters, work plans, management plans and strategies to improve efficiencies, meet performance standards and customer demand.
  • Supervise the implementation of consistent, transparent and robust practice, whilst providing advice and assistance on complex matters.
  • Lead and ensure you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.
