Role details
The Nurse Bank/Casual Pool at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Nurse Unit Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Nurse Unit Manager is a Registered Nurse and works within a management team who is accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of meeting best practice standards for clinical practice though the provision of effective and efficient human and material resources. They are responsible for recruitment, onboarding, education and training of Nurse Bank and Casual Pool and Transit Care Hub nursing and midwifery staff to develop a highly skilled team. This will ensure a high level of patient care is maintained across the Mackay Base Hospital.
About the Team
The Nurse Bank and Casual Pool's key responsibility is to consult regarding nursing workforce requirements in a proactive real time approach, reviews/monitors staff shortages due to unplanned absenteeism and provide nursing support where possible.
