Test Consultant

As a Test Consultant with the eHealth Queensland Systems Integration Team, you will work closely with integration analysts, developers and clinical application testers to improve quality and ensure adherence to testing and technical policies, standards and procedures. You will be part of an exciting, fast paced and critical team providing vital integration services to clinical applications used across Queensland Health. Reporting to the Senior Test Consultant, you will work in a small test team within a larger delivery team, and you will gain experience working with a wide range of clinical application support teams and projects.

What you'll do
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with QPS values as outlined above.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
- Design and improve methodologies to ensure systems can be migrated from a development environment through to implementation within quality assurance guidelines.
- Ensure the implementation of quality contemporary testing methods to align with best practice ICT testing frameworks which encompasses strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools, and standards. This may include testing in agile projects and use of test automation tools.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of testing and relevant technical domains and provide sound advice and recommendations on any aspect of test planning and execution.
- Review technical and business design requirements and identify alternative solutions.
- Define risk-based and requirements-based testing scope to ensure solution is fit for purpose.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including mentoring and leading team members providing peer reviews, training, and support.
- Provide comprehensive monitoring and reporting on projects to ensure effective implementation of project deliverables.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- High level experience performing system, integration, regression, user acceptance testing and UAT co-ordination in a complex environment.
- Experience in interpreting functional and non-functional requirements and design specifications to identify and develop appropriate test scenarios, test conditions, and test cases.
- Demonstrated experience working in a complex software delivery environment, engaging positively with a range of technical, operational, project, and business stakeholders.
- Strong personal attributes demonstrating an ability to communicate, collaborate, adapt, and think critically.
