We're excited to welcome an Allied Health Practitioner Senior- Psychologist or Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to the Community Diversion Programs within the Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) team.
As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, this role aims to deliver Senior Social Work/ Psychologist/occupational therapist clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health, in accordance with the goals, policies and requirements of the Sunshine Coast Hospital Health (SCH).
Senior Social Work/ Psychologist/Occupational therapist clinicians within allied health work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within the Rural and Speciality Mental Health Services as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff at HP4 level will be required to rotate across SCH as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines (with some exceptions).

Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level Social Work/ Psychologist clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Social Work/ Psychologist practitioners and students as delegated.
- Take a leadership role in the monitoring of professional clinical standards and outcomes, service improvement activities, Performance and Development Plans (PDP), quality activities, evidence-based practice, clinical research programs.
Remuneration value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary between $128 169 - $137 918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
