About the role
- Deliver high level social work clinical practice to support the Specialist Assessment Liaison Intervention Team in child protection and sexual assault.
- Provide leadership, consultation, education, advice and intervention on child protection matters to reduce patient risk and optimise outcomes for children and their families.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide sexual assault responses by delivering high level evidence based clinical interventions to maximise patient health and outcomes in the acute and post-acute sexual assault setting including the provision of trauma informed crisis intervention and counselling.
- Respond to complex child protection presentations and provide a lead role in the provision of clinical advice to support clinicians, social workers and other health professionals to minimise risk and maximise patient outcomes.
- Possess and apply thorough knowledge of the legislation, judicial and policy framework in relation to child protection and sexual assault to ensure compliance with these frameworks.
- Provide training in both child protection and sexual assault responses to increase knowledge and capacity of the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) Clinical workforce.
