About the Division
Corporate Services Division provides a range of specialised performance enabling functions that supports QRA to meet its compliance obligations, operate efficiently and achieve its strategic priorities.
About the Team
As Senior Advisor, Procurement you will deliver the full range of best-practice procurement Goods and Services activities, including ICT/Technology. Combine your technical and people experience to present procurement options in an accurate and engaging way to a range of stakeholders.
About the Role
- Provide procurement advice and support to internal stakeholders under the application of the Queensland Government and QRA procurement policy, principals and best practice governance.
- Ensure the delivery of value for money through the implementation of best practice end to end procurement and sourcing methodologies (including the appropriate use of Standing Offer Arrangements and the QITC Framework) in alignment with the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP) 2026 and ICT/Technology and General Goods and Services category frameworks.
- Actively contribute to ensuring that all QRA procurement and contract management services are delivered to organisational and stakeholder expectations of time and quality and adhering to compliance with QRA and broader sector governance and legislative requirements.
- Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and appropriate use of government Standing Offer Agreements and contracting requirements/ frameworks.
- Delivery of ICT/Technology sourcing requirements under the QITC framework.
- Assume responsibility for specific procurement activities, including leading and implementing projects that will deliver process improvements and efficiencies for QRA business stakeholders.
- Undertake research on relevant supplier markets, capabilities and technology.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative, and productive working relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.
- Prepare reports and briefing notes to support procurement initiatives including preparation of high-quality briefing material and correspondence.
- Ensure that procurement activities follow agreed processes that comply with both QRA and Whole of Government governance requirements and maintain a high standard of record-keeping.
- Act as a point for quality assurance for the team and any external procurement contractors as directed by the Principal Procurement Advisor.
