Your new role:
This apprenticeship provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, supporting the maintenance and presentation of healthcare facilities across Metro South Health. You will:
- Learn how to prepare surfaces and apply paints and coatings to internal and external areas.
- Complete on-the-job training while undertaking formal vocational training with a registered training provider.
- Work across a range of Metro South Health facilities, including hospitals and community sites.
- Follow workplace safety, quality standards and training requirements while contributing to a safe healthcare environment.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated individual who is eager to learn a trade and committed to completing an apprenticeship in painting and decorating. You are:
- Willing to undertake and complete a Certificate III in Painting & Decorating.
- Reliable, safety-focused and committed to following workplace policies and procedures.
- Hardworking with the ability to learn practical skills and complete training assessments.
- Respectful and able to work collaboratively in a diverse healthcare environment.

Metro South Maintenance Services are the incumbent maintenance provider for Metro South Health Hospitals and Health Service (MSH) Facilities, with the primary objective to manage the corrective and preventative maintenance for all MSH infrastructure and facilities. Metro South's asset management objectives define the approach for delivering maintenance outcomes and the role of Maintenance management in supporting the achievement of the organisational objectives.
