Your new Role:
This leadership role is the primary point of contact for operational health, safety and wellbeing matters across Bayside Health Services and Addiction and Mental Health Services within Metro South Health. You will:
- Lead and support a team delivering contemporary health, safety and wellbeing services.
- Build strong partnerships with clinical and operational leaders across Bayside Health Services and Addiction and Mental Health Services.
- Coordinate and oversee investigations into serious or complex incidents and provide clear management reporting.
- Analyse and communicate safety performance trends and recommend practical improvements.
- Drive the development, implementation and evaluation of consistent health, safety and wellbeing practices.
- Maintain a visible safety presence across facilities to support safe work practices and strong relationships with staff.
- Collaborate with the broader Health, Safety & Wellbeing leadership team to deliver effective, customer-focused services.
About You:
You are an experienced health and safety leader who combines strong technical knowledge with a collaborative and pragmatic approach. You build trusted relationships with stakeholders and guide teams to deliver practical solutions that improve safety outcomes. You will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of work health and safety and workers' compensation legislation and safety management systems.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a team to deliver high-quality professional services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical, client-focused solutions.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with leaders and key stakeholders across complex environments.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise operational demands and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
