Your new Role:
Provide administrative and electronic records support to manage, track and maintain patient medical records while contributing to efficient patient flow across the hospital. You will be able to:
- Create, receipt and electronically track patient medical records across hospital departments
- Retrieve and maintain medical records from clinical and business units
- Scan and manage patient documentation using electronic records systems
- Support clinical teams with medical record requests and system assistance
- Administer release of patient information in line with legislation and policy
- Generate and manage scanning reports within the hospital records system
Rostered shifts including:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm or 2:30pm – 11:00pm
- Weekend shifts: 7:30am – 4:00pm
About You:
You are organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with digital systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will bring:
- Strong attention to detail when handling confidential records
- Experience using computer systems and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to quickly learn medical terminology and hospital information systems
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently when required
- A collaborative team approach and willingness to support colleagues
- Knowledge of medical records scanning processes (desirable but not essential)
