Your new Role:

Provide administrative and electronic records support to manage, track and maintain patient medical records while contributing to efficient patient flow across the hospital. You will be able to: 

  • Create, receipt and electronically track patient medical records across hospital departments
  • Retrieve and maintain medical records from clinical and business units
  • Scan and manage patient documentation using electronic records systems
  • Support clinical teams with medical record requests and system assistance
  • Administer release of patient information in line with legislation and policy
  • Generate and manage scanning reports within the hospital records system

Rostered shifts including:

  • Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm or 2:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Weekend shifts: 7:30am – 4:00pm

About You:

You are organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with digital systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will bring: 

  • Strong attention to detail when handling confidential records
  • Experience using computer systems and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn medical terminology and hospital information systems
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently when required
  • A collaborative team approach and willingness to support colleagues
  • Knowledge of medical records scanning processes (desirable but not essential)
