About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist (Supervisory) to lead and provide clinical supervision to school-based occupational therapists. In this temporary part-time position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and inclusive supports that enable students to access learning opportunities and participate fully in their education. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence outcomes on both a regional and statewide level.
As part of your responsibilities, you will:
- Provide leadership and clinical supervision to school-based occupational therapists using the HP4 Senior Occupational Therapy (Supervisory) role description and Clinical Governance Framework.
- Support school teams in assessing occupational therapy needs and delivering tailored services that drive positive student outcomes.
- Collaborate with occupational therapy and regional leadership teams to address systemic challenges and implement innovative, data-driven solutions in line with regional priorities.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on workload management, employee wellbeing, and service performance across your region.
- Contribute to statewide projects, including induction planning, cross-regional group supervisions, and professional development programs.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience or expertise in providing clinical supervision, mentoring, or capability development of health professionals or students (or the ability to quickly acquire these skills).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with supervisees, senior therapy staff, regional teams, and school groups.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy in an education setting, underpinned by a strong understanding of inclusive education principles.
