An AO8 Manager, Learning & Development vacancy is available in the Workforce & Client Experience division of the Queensland Revenue Office.

The Learning and Development team is responsible for developing and delivering internal legislation and systems training and facilitating the engagement of external providers for professional development programs. You will shape QRO’s enterprise learning and development strategy and lead a team responsible for implementation and delivery of QRO’s enterprise learning and development programs.

The position is based in our Brisbane office with flexible work options available and access to professional growth pathways.

Your typical day as a Manager, Learning & Development may include:

• Starting the day with purpose and pace — setting clear priorities for the Learning & Development Team and keeping delivery aligned to QRO's strategic direction and capability uplift.  

• Partnering with leaders to solve real workforce challenges — translating operational needs into practical learning solutions and advising senior stakeholders on what will make the biggest difference.  

• Bringing learning to life — shaping engaging training that builds confidence and capability, and continuously improving content so it stays contemporary and useful.  

• Elevating capability — championing professional development that strengthens communication, coaching, leadership and change capability across the organisation, and building momentum through well-designed programs.  

• Leading a team people trust — coaching and mentoring your team, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring work is delivered with professionalism and strong record-keeping so decisions are timely and well supported.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

• High level influential communication skills
• Substantial experience in an adult learning and development environment
• Substantial experience in leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships
