About the role
Step into a role where you become the steady centre of a dynamic and evolving portfolio guiding project intake, shaping prioritisation, and orchestrating delivery for the Transformation Management Office at the QBCC. As the driving force behind portfolio planning, you'll bring clarity to complexity, ensuring each initiative aligns with governance frameworks and delivers meaningful, measurable benefits. You'll oversee assurance, risk, change, procurement and financial elements with a strategic eye, keeping the organisation on course and empowering project teams to deliver with confidence.
In this position, you'll build trusted relationships across the QBCC and beyond, intentionally collaborating with stakeholders to test ideas, refine requirements and pave the way for successful project execution. You'll monitor progress with a keen sense of timing and outcomes, translating insight into clear, actionable reporting and strategic recommendations. Whether you're supporting colleagues to understand their responsibilities, reviewing critical documentation, or advising on best practice in portfolio and project management, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation's major initiatives land with impact and integrity.
About you
You'll demonstrate a solid background in project management and ideally have experience working in a Portfolio or Program Management Office. You will have attained one or more certifications in a Project Management framework i.e. Agile/PRINCE2, MoP, Waterfall or PMBOK.
You will be an effective communicator who builds strong, respectful relationships. You will use your engagement and facilitation skills to work with a broad range of stakeholders to plan business improvements which deliver a lasting impact.
