About the work unit / facility
Surgical 2 is a 29‑bed inpatient unit that provides outstanding care to general surgical, colorectal, urology, vascular, breast and endocrine patients. The unit manages emergency presentations, including multi‑trauma cases, as well as patients admitted for elective surgery.

Competitive salary and benefits:

- Salary range: $136,538 to $148,242 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
The role of the Nurse Unit Manager is to provide nursing leadership, support, clinical supervision and mentoring within the nursing team. The position is responsible for resource management, education, research accountabilities and strategic oversight to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, best‑practice care to patients admitted to Surgical Ward 2.
Requirements
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA.
Highly desirable
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
