Mareeba Hospital provides healthcare services to the local community, supporting primary health centres and Lotus Glen Correctional Centre which is located 25 kilometres south of Mareeba. The Centre accommodates high and low security prisoners and provides a remand and reception.
About your role:
As a Registered Nurse at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre, you will join a passionate and dynamic team. Working as a nurse in a correctional centre offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in a challenging healthcare setting. The role will allow you to use a wide range of clinical skills, providing essential care to a vunerable population. The role can be professionally fulfilling with the opportunity to develop confidence, autonomy and expertise in the field whilst contributing to safety and improved health outcomes for patients who may otherwise have limited access to care.
