The Digital Customer (Smart Service Queensland) team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) provides digitally enabled whole-of-government services to the Queensland public through multiple channels including phone, chat, counter and online. This stream brings together technology, development, products, design, engagement, and operations to deliver simpler connected services.

As the Change and Communication Officer, you will:

  • Design and deliver targeted change and communication content and multimedia for internal audiences via multiple channels i.e. staff emails and Teams posts, SharePoint intranet content, infographics, presentations, videos.
  • Coordinate and support activities and events related to internal and external change and communication initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and subject matter experts within the organisation and department to deliver high quality outcomes across the business.
  • Work independently and as part of a team using time management skills effectively to manage competing priorities and exercise appropriate judgement in a busy work environment to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work under pressure within a high-functioning team in an environment of competing priorities and a demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
  • Provide accurate, timely and professional change and communication advice to internal stakeholders which complies with the department style guide and applicable corporate standards and policies.
  • Provide high level administrative support, including preparation of correspondence, internal and external briefs, and reports.
  • Actively and positively contribute to our organisational culture, supporting and encouraging employee experience, business improvement and organisational strategy.
