The Director assumes overall responsibility for the organisation, management and provision of Princess Alexandra Hospital Addiction and Mental Health service inpatient, and inpatient services delivered at or by the Princess Alexandra Hospital. This role provides professional leadership to Mental Health Emergency Department and Princess Alexandra Psychiatric inpatient unit ensuring excellence in clinical governance, education and research. The Director position takes responsibility for the clinical quality, culture and provision of cost-effective care in the Department of Mental Health Emergency and Psychiatric inpatient unit within the Princess Alexandra Hospital Division of Addiction and Mental Health Services. In addition, the Director contributes to these same outcomes across the hospital as a whole.

Your new role:

About you:

The primary purpose of the position is to provide high quality psychiatric services and demonstrate clinical leadership to Mental Health Emergency and Inpatient Services of Adult Mental Health Services within the Division of Mental Health Services Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Provision of strong clinical leadership and support for the strategic direction for high quality service provision within Princess Alexandra Hospital catchment area.

Provision of education to Medical Staff and Students, Allied Health, Nursing Staff and interested Community Groups.

Active participation in patient safety, audit, research and service planning activities
