The Deputy Courts Coordinator role provides high level executive support and assistance to the Chief Magistrate, Deputy Chief Magistrates, Regional Coordinating Magistrates, Magistrates and the Manager in the Chief Magistrates Office. The position is responsible for assisting the Senior Courts Coordinator in coordinating leave and management of all circuits on a state-wide basis for the Queensland Magistracy.

Your key responsibilities
- Provide high level executive support to the Chief Magistrate, Deputy Chief Magistrates, Regional Coordinating Magistrates, Court Coordinator and the Manager of the Chief Magistrates office.
- Develop and maintain professional, productive and collaborative relationships with the Judiciary and stakeholders.
- Administer Acting Arrangements in the absence of Magistrates taking leave statewide.
- Assist in the preparations of various rosters including court circuits, after hours and public holiday rosters statewide under the guidance of the Court Coordinator.
- Liaise outside of operational working hours (or when required) with the Chief Magistrate, Deputy Chief Magistrates and Regional Coordinating Magistrates to coordinate relief and travel where required.
- Maintain high level communication between the Office of the Chief Magistrate and a range of stakeholders, including Magistrates throughout Queensland, other heads of jurisdiction, the Office of the Attorney-General, the Department of Justice and Attorney-General and other public sector agencies.
- Assist in the coordination of engagements and events relative to the OCM including swearing in, welcome and valedictory ceremonies, as well as the State Magistrates Conference, Regional Conferences and Specialist Court Conferences.
- Establish and maintain efficient and reliable processes and systems to ensure timelines are met and quality and accuracy is assured.
- Undertake projects as directed by the Chief Magistrate, Deputy Chief Magistrates and the Manager.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Court Coordinator and Manager in the Chief Magistrates Office.
