About the role
As a Finance Officer (Assets), you will support the delivery of high quality financial services through effective asset management across the health service. You'll play a key role in maintaining asset registers, ensuring compliance with financial standards and contributing to financial reporting and process improvements. Working both independently and collaboratively, you'll engage with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure accurate, timely and compliant asset management practices.
- Managing the fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals, reconciliations and stocktakes.
- Supporting financial reporting activities, including valuations, work-in-progress tracking and disclosures.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and accounting standards.
- Driving process improvements, maintaining procedures and providing asset related financial advice.

Requirements
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
- Experience in a health care system or equivalent large organisation is desirable.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
