We're excited to welcome a CNC Paediatric Oncology to our Women's and Children's Services.

The CNC Paediatric Oncology provides advanced clinical leadership and regional case management for children and young people requiring specialist oncology and haematology care, while also contributing to broader clinical leadership across the Paediatric Outpatient Service.
The role coordinates complex care pathways, supports timely access to outpatient assessment and treatment, and provides expert clinical oversight and coordination of infusion services and interventions. Working collaboratively with the Nurse Educator, Outpatient Nurse Unit Manager and Paediatric Nurse Unit Manager, the CNC strengthens clinical governance, supports workforce capability development, and promotes consistent, evidence-based and family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
- Nominated as Medicine Store and S8 Safe Manager as per the Substance Management Plan for SCHHS Regulated Places, as required.
- Effectively manage self and in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Educators and Nurse Unit Managers, develop staff to enable fulfilment of role responsibilities within paediatric outpatients.
- Competence in the preparation, administration and disposal of cytotoxic drugs as per QPHHON (Queensland Paediatric Palliative Haematology and Oncology Network) training requirements and Paediatric ADAC (Anti-cancer drug administration course).
Remuneration value up to $142 432 p.a, comprising salary rates $68.86- $74.76 p.h., (part time, 64 hrs p.f.), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG7).
