In the role of Service Coordinator, you will coordinate and manage the operations of a workshop team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance, servicing and inspection of plant and equipment for internal and selected external customers.
You will manage the allocation of work and workflow within the workshop (including field service activities) through effective and timely consultation with projects or teams and ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will actively promote and improve safe work practices in both workshop and field service environments.
Accountabilities include:
• Manage the operations of the workshop to industry best practice in a commercially competitive environment and in accordance with the RoadTek Business Management System.
• Manage the inspection, servicing, maintenance and reliability of plant and equipment.
• Source and provide technical direction and where necessary be actively involved in carrying out repairs and maintenance of equipment. Ensure that work performed, complies with manufacturers guidelines.
• Coach and mentor staff, including the use of the RoadTek performance management processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including Workplace Health & Safety Act and Environmental Regulations and actively promote and improve safety within the workshop.
• Manage the financial performance of the workshop, including cost recovery, cost control and efficiency gains to achieve the budgeted outcomes.
• Determine core capability for the workshop and address capability gaps through recruitment of staff, including the recruitment and management of apprentice and staff training and development plans.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Relevant trade-based qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology).
• Experience in a supervisory role with at least 5 years' experience as a tradesperson.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.
• A reasonable amount of travel consistent with industry standards will be required throughout the operational unit and/or the State. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.
• TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
Desirable requirements:
• MR class driver's licence.
