The Regional Manager leads the unit's seven teams:
- Geospatial Information
- Survey
- Engineering and Design (include heavy vehicle permitting function)
- Environment and Cultural Heritage
- Asset Risk and Strategy (including project management function)
- Asset Data and Information
- Traffic Engineering Investigations.
In the role of Manager (Technical Services), you are responsible for ensuring the availability of technical capacity, capability and governance support across the technical functions of asset management, design, geospatial services, cultural heritage and environment.
As a member of the Regional Leadership Team, you will consult and collaborate with project sponsors and program managers to determine program criteria and priorities.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide vision, direction and management of Technical Services (TS) to ensure the services and activities are delivered in alignment with state-wide priorities and goals
- Ensure the application and management of technical and administrative governance frameworks comply with policy, legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures associated with infrastructure activities
- Implement strategies to ensure ongoing technical capability
- Maintain a program of works and customer base by liaising with functional areas and other managers to ensure consistent allocation of resources, outputs and standards for the delivery of the state-wide program and priorities
- Coordinate the engagement of consultants and monitor performance in accordance with contractual arrangements
- Provide authoritative advice to the Regional Director and program managers.
