Rangers play a vital role in ensuring Queensland national parks, state forest and reserves are protected, accessible and valued by all Queenslanders. Collaborating with local communities and other stakeholders, rangers contribute to land management, recreation and conservation outcomes across protected areas.

Wide Bay area has two (2) OO5 Ranger positions available - Seventeen Seventy (Agnes Water) and Maryborough (other locations in Wide Bay may also be considered). Your key focus will include project management, fire management, pest control, visitor management, and natural resource management. To excel in this role, you should possess strong communication and project management skills, along with the ability to utilise technology to deliver high quality outcomes.

We're seeking motivated individuals with a strong blend of technical expertise and practical skills.

• Strong Operational Skills: Hands-on experience in land management, fire operations, and pest control.
• Project Management Expertise: The ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects within budgets and timeframes.
• Effective Communication: The capacity to engage with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, Traditional Owners, and operational teams.
• Technological Proficiency: Competence in using digital tools and systems to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Cultural Awareness: A deep respect for cultural values and the ability to integrate them into land management practices.

• Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
