The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Allied Health Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. 

You will

• Provide a range of clinical screening assessments
• Provide a comprehensive range of interventions and treatment programs
• Undertake independent, autonomous daily workload management
• Contribute to patient records according to organisational guidelines and legal requirements

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Driver licence
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Blue Card
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary full time or Temporary part time (one full time position or several part time positions, hrs negotiable, up to 6 months with the possibility for extension)
• Base salary ranging from $2 624.50 - $2 759.10 per fortnight, $34.53 - $36.30 per hour

About Us

This role works primarily within the Rehabilitation Response Team (RRT) service and also provides support within wider Rehabilitation Servies and Complex Management Unit. The RRT is a specialised, multi-disciplinary service that follows a shared care model to provide rehabilitation services for inpatients in an acute ward setting (inreach rehabilitation). Within this, the RRT provides assessment and management of all referrals for inreach and inpatient rehabilitation services, the Complex Management Unit.
