About the work unit / facility

Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (SMHRU) is a newly refurbished facility with accommodation for 25 consumers, providing a secure and structured environment for rehabilitation. Nursing staff deliver best‑practice, high‑quality care and apply the principles of recovery‑oriented rehabilitation in their work with clients.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $85,236 to $109,330 p.a. (Nurse Grade 5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • On-call and shift allowances (where applicable)
  • Plus great salary packaging to increase take-home pay

About your opportunity

In this role you will provide direct nursing care using clinical skills, education and support, and delivers purposeful, evidence‑based interventions while maintaining safety for all. The Registered Nurse demonstrates an understanding that different populations have differing needs and considers how best to meet these unique and diverse needs within a SMHRU environment. The focus is on recovery, offering opportunities to maximise each individual's personal journey in an accessible, flexible and responsive setting that fosters hope, healing and empowerment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA.
  • Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
