Eromanga State School is seeking a capable and community-focused Principal (Level 1) for a temporary engagement from 13 July to 4 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About our school

Eromanga State School is a small, remote primary school serving a close-knit outback community. The school provides a personalised learning environment with a strong focus on individual student progress and engagement.

Our small school consists of a teaching Principal, Teacher Aide, part-time teaching staff from Quilpie State College, Small School Business Manager, Cleaner and Schools Officer.

In 2023 we introduced a STEAM program, where all students are engaging with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics concepts through open-ended inquiries and problem solving tasks. Our students use 3D design programs and additive manufacturing to devise solutions to problems and challenges.

About the Role

As the Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive a shared vision that achieves strong student outcomes.
  • Provide ethical, strategic leadership across the school.
  • Embed inclusive, socially just practices.
  • Set and maintain high standards for students and staff.
  • Build partnerships with parents, agencies, and the community.
  • Lead professional growth and oversee school operations.
