Who We Are:
Located within the Townsville Youth Detention Centre, our centre provides educational services in a unique and dynamic environment.
Cleveland Education and Training Centre is a service provider within the Detention Centre therefore all staff are required to comply with a range of safety and security protocols.
Cleveland Education and Training Centre delivers education programs within the Detention Centre for 48 weeks of the year. Leave may fall outside school hours - this is negotiable.
About the Role:
As the School Business Manager, you will play a key role in the effective management of the centre's business operations. You will be responsible for overseeing financial administration, budgeting, procurement processes, and supporting human resource and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Coordinate procurement and resource management
- Provide support with human resource processes and workforce administration
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
- Support the leadership team with business and operational planning

About You:
- Strong financial and administrative management skills
- High level organisational and communication abilities
- Experience working in complex or regulated environments (desirable)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice
