About us:
Biloela Hospital is a 20-bed hospital that caters for inpatients and outpatients including emergency and outpatient services, The hospital also provides general medical and surgical services, 2 acute resuscitation bays and treatment area with obstetrics and anaesthetic credentialed Medical Officers on site.
Support services to the hospital include Community Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Immunisation, Child Health, Drug and Alcohol Mental Health Services, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Pathology, Physiotherapy, and Oral Health.

About the role:
- Responsible for the provision of Nursing care including complex care that meets the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Standards for practice and other professional practice standards as required.
- Deliver an advanced standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation by using clinical nursing expertise including for patients with complex care needs.
- Respond appropriately and provide support and direction to manage all aspects of care including sudden alterations in the health status of the patient using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.
- Participate in the development; evaluation and updating of clinical service procedures, protocols, standards and guidelines.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision, clinical education, and up-skilling to nurses to achieve a skilled capable workforce in line with professional workforce standards.
- Integrate advanced theoretical knowledge, evidence from a range of sources and own experience to devise and achieve agreed care outcomes for recipients of healthcare services in line with organisational priorities.
About you:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma would be well regarded.
- Experience in the provision of a safe and quality focused environment by ensuring safe work practices, reviewing clinical outcomes, developing a quality improvement plan and applying the risk management framework.
- Well-developed clinical knowledge in general and emergency nursing providing a high-quality client-orientated health service delivery model.
- Ability to provide clinical nursing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment and demonstrate sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.
- Ability to use a variety of formal and informal educational strategies to develop nursing staff's skill and knowledge in evidenced based practice.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $135,857 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.05 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
