About the role

In this role, you will serve as a key consultant, liaising with both internal and external teams to support complex cases and ensure the delivery of comprehensive individualised care plans.  Your expertise will be vital in providing high-level psychological assessments, interventions, and recommendations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Additionally, you will mentor and support junior psychologists and contribute to the ongoing developments of best practices and service innovation.

As a Senior Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by working closely with multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaborative relationships, and promoting integrated care.  These roles offer professional growth, the chance to lead clinical initiatives, and to be part of a forward-thinking and compassionate team dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of individuals with IDD.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
