What you'll do
In this role you will provide expert statewide clinical leadership for a complex rehabilitation program, ensuring delivery of high quality, evidence based standards and resources. You will lead clinical governance and oversee project deliverables, direct development of statewide frameworks and implementation resources, and apply advanced clinical judgement to inform strategic decisions. You will lead consultation with stakeholders across Queensland, manage risks, and provide high level clinical advice and briefings to senior leaders to support successful outcomes.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- A formal qualification in an eligible allied health profession (as listed in the Health Practitioners and Dental Officers (Queensland Health Certified Agreement (no. 4) 2022) from a recognised tertiary institution which will permit registration with the relevant professional registration board, or eligibility for membership/accreditation with the relevant professional association.
- Advanced and authoritative clinical knowledge, expertise and conceptual skills, enabling provision of expert clinical leadership for a complex, statewide program of work to improve equity, quality and consistency of acquired brain injury (ABI) rehabilitation across the full continuum of service settings in Queensland.
- Recognised expertise in solving large‑scale, complex clinical service challenges, including high‑level interpretation and application of health system policy, service models, professional standards, evidence and competing priorities to inform strategic decision‑making.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor, evaluate and improve service delivery, using outcome measurement, quality improvement methodologies and data analysis to inform recommendations and provide authoritative advice to senior stakeholders.
- Advanced experience in the design, development and implementation of statewide clinical service standards and associated workforce capability frameworks, including translation into practice within diverse health service contexts.
- Proven experience leading the development of high‑quality, evidence‑based resources for consumers, carers and clinicians that support consistent, person‑centred care and clinical practice.
- Extensive experience in program and project management at a strategic level, including overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of complex work programs, and ensuring delivery within scope, time and quality expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain service‑wide change, including the collaborative development and implementation of clinical practices, guidelines and improvement initiatives within complex and dynamic environments.
