We are excited to offer a fixed term contract for up to 9 months as a Scientist haematology. The Scientist will work as part of a collaborative team of Health Professionals and Clinical Assistants to provide a high-quality, 24-hour, 7-day Haematology service at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform simple to complex haematological investigations.
- Ability to efficiently prioritize specimens, perform tests accurately and efficiently without direct supervision and work independently towards the logical solution of scientific and technical problems.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to communicate effectively with clients, clinical staff and colleagues.
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of a client-focussed and cost-effective laboratory service.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.
