The role:
Reporting to the Practice Manager, Project Support this enabling and customer-facing role sits within the Practice Team, a central function that partners with Project Professionals across a range of job families to support successful delivery through capability uplift.
You will contribute to the design, development, and coordination of practical tools, frameworks, coaching support and shared resources to improve how projects are delivered across the organisation. You will also work hands-on with delivery teams to embed best practice and support readiness for large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
As part of this role, you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the Project Competency Framework, which supports consistent capability development and career pathways across the project delivery and project support professions.
In this role you will:
- Support capability activities through stakeholder engagement and maintaining quality and attention to detail whilst coordinating priorities across multiple pieces of work.
- Coordinate capability initiatives including Communities of Practice, Project Delivery Framework training, and the internal development program.
- Capture and analyse data from capability activities to inform reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of project approaches, toolkits and learning resources that support consistent delivery practices across the branch.
- Provide advisory support and coaching to graduates, project teams, business stakeholders and delivery leaders.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability uplift through forums, collaboration activities and shared practice across project delivery communities.
Are you right for this role?
You'll thrive in this role if you are organised, proactive and enjoy working across a variety of activities that support project delivery capability. You are comfortable coordinating multiple priorities, building strong working relationships, and bringing structure and clarity to complex work.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has strong foundational experience supporting projects, ideally in complex ICT or healthcare environments.
- Is highly organised and able to coordinate multiple activities at once, ensuring capability initiatives, learning interventions, training and forums run smoothly.
- Works confidently across competing priorities, bringing structure, follow-through and attention to detail to busy environments.
- Has practical experience supporting core project delivery activities such as stakeholder engagement, records management, project commencement and closure activities, financial administration and governance processes.
- Captures and interprets data to support reporting, identifying insights and contributing to improvements in capability programs, learning interventions, and initiatives.
- Builds strong working relationships and collaborates effectively with delivery teams, stakeholders and leaders across the branch.
- Communicates clearly and confidently, tailoring information and guidance for different audiences.
- Takes initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and contributes to the evolution of frameworks, tools and shared practice across project delivery communities.
This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple priorities, building strong relationships, and bringing structure and coordination to complex work. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the branch, contribute ideas to improve how we work, and support initiatives that strengthen capability across our various communities.
If you're energised by helping teams deliver projects more consistently and effectively, and enjoy being the person who brings organisation, coordination and insight to busy environments — this role is for you.
