About us:
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) Pharmacy provides pharmacy services to all clinical facilities within Central Queensland. Each department consists of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, who provide services to acute care in patients and also to outpatient or community focussed clinics.
About the role:
- Utilise high level professional skills to lead the provision of a high quality professional clinical pharmacy (including dispensary) and distribution service.
- Utilise high level professional judgement and evidence in advising senior management on service improvement and quality activities.
- Active participation in Medication Safety Committees and other quality improvement initiatives as directed.
- Provide high level/expert clinical pharmacy services for an appropriate clinical caseload at the Rockhampton Hospital or at another CQHHS facility.
- Participate in the emergency clinical on call service and weekend service at Rockhampton hospital.
- Lead a team of HP3, HP4 and HP5 pharmacists, intern pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and administration officers to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
About you:
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in pharmacy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).
- A relevant post-graduate qualification in pharmacy practice/management and previous hospital pharmacy management experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated high level clinical pharmacy abilities that can be applied to a wide range of areas and a sound knowledge of the legislative and professional requirements that govern contemporary pharmacy practice.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders using high level negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional and operational management of a medium-sized Pharmacy professional team, including the allocation of resources.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop less experienced pharmacy staff through delivery of both formal and informal educational processes.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $73.12 – $76.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
