 About the role

Some of the key responsibilities for this role are:

  • To provide high quality clinical care to patients of the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service whilst completing the ANZCA training program to allow transition to specialist Anaesthetists.
  • Attendance at Quality Assurance meetings including Morbidity and Mortality meetings, Audit meetings, Combined Obstetric & Anaesthetic meetings, and cardiology meetings.
  • Take an active role in education of junior trainees, medical students, and nursing staff, but also more specifically by providing and becoming involved in prevocational educational programs.
  • Function as role model and a mentor to junior medical officers in the department.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Clinical and technical expertise with appropriate knowledge, skills, and ability to deliver quality care in Anaesthetics.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and lead other staff.
  • A high level of oral and written communication skills and the ability to work and liaise with other specialties.
  • Commitment to principles of quality improvement, patient safety and clinical governance
  • Dedication to education and research including a personal commitment to continuing medical education.
