The Senior Web Developer role within Strategic Communications Branch is vital in transforming Queensland Health’s digital channels. The goal is to better connect the public, clinicians, industry and Queensland Health staff with vital health information, resources, and facilities. You will support the Digital Transformation Team in driving the transformation agenda and achieving business goals through the execution of Front-end Developer activities.

Your Key responsibilities:

• Front end web development, including HTML, CSS & Javascript and related tooling.
• Contribute to the maintenance and development of React & NextJS web applications on the Azure Platform.
• Building Squiz Matrix components utilising the above as part of the Squiz Matrix DXP.
• Lead the development, design, and maintenance of complex online solutions such as websites, applications, forms, reports/dashboards, databases, scripts, and data visualisation.

In this role you will be valued for your knowledge and skills in your specialist area and will deliver outcomes through self-management, sometimes with guidance from the team leader. The essential requirements for this role are:

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior front end web developer, highly skilled in HTML, CSS & JS, Build tools (Webpack, VITE etc) and Node JS.
• Familiarity with modern Javascript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Angular)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and DevOps.
